Tax agreement

HINWEIS: Durch das Änderungsprotokoll vom 5. April 2012 wurden einige Parameter des Abkommens mit Deutschland verändert.

Die Funktionsweise des Abkommens bleibt aber dieselbe. Aus diesem Grund zeigen wir den Erklärfilm hier weiterhin.

Änderungen:

• Für die Einmalzahlung (Regularisierung der Vergangenheit) gilt ein nomineller Steuersatz von minimal 21% und maximal 41%.
• Für die zukünftige Abgeltungssteuer auf Zinserträgen gilt weiterhin der Satz der EU-Zinsbesteuerung von 35%; dieser Abzug hat abgeltende Wirkung.
• Die Abgeltungsteuer auf weitere Vermögenserträge beträgt weiterhin unverändert 26.375% und hat abgeltende Wirkung.
• Das Abkommen berücksichtigt neu die Erbschaftssteuer.

NOTICE: The Protocol of Amendment from 20 March 2012 (incl. amendments to the tax rates exercised based on the most favoured nation clause) supplements the withholding tax agreement with the UK of 6 October 2011. It contains some amended parameters.

The principal mechanisms of the agreement, however, remain unchanged. We therefore continue to display the explanatory film above.

Please note:

• A technical change to the final anonymous withholding tax for the future, based on the European Savings Tax Directive, assures the compatibility with EU law. The tax rates remain unchanged.
• The British inheritance tax is now included in the agreement (where such a tax is applicable according to UK law).
