Invitation for individual members: Swiss Bankers Day and AGM 2026
This year’s Bankers Day, which incorporates the Association’s AGM, will take place on 17 September 2026 in St Gallen. The theme is «Competitiveness – Focus on Switzerland as a financial centre».

Amidst the global competition between financial centres such as London, Hong Kong, New York, Dubai and Singapore, we explore questions such as: Where does Switzerland have advantages that enable it to attract and retain new providers in the financial services sector? In which areas is it losing ground to international competitors, and why? And how can Switzerland maintain its competitiveness in the future?
The strengths of the Swiss financial centre include stability, trust and resilience. To maintain these locational advantages in the long term, suitable framework conditions are required. These include, for example, balanced regulation. At the same time, digitalisation and artificial intelligence are driving change and intensifying competition for talent, which in turn has an impact on the capacity for innovation.
At the Bankers’ Day in St Gallen, we will be discussing with speakers from Switzerland and abroad what politicians, the business community and banks can do together to secure and further strengthen the location’s appeal in the long term.
The Association’s Annual General Meeting also forms part of Bankers Day. We are once again inviting all individual members to exercise their voting rights in person. The items on the agenda at this year’s AGM are as follows: approving the Annual Report, the annual financial statements and the report of the statutory auditor; granting discharge to the Board of Directors and Executive Board; appointing a statutory auditor and other positions; and other business.
If you have any questions about the AGM agenda or any other aspect of the event, please contact [email protected] directly. Registration takes place through the personal invitation sent to individual members.
